Well. We’re beginning to have positive news on UK economic growth, and some more positive forecasts from economists and the IMF.
The UK SMEs, (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises), are the lifeblood of the UK economy, and in my County of Kent, we have more than you would think; more than 65,000 SMEs. They all have one thing in common, in that they want to grow. New business can be created in one of two ways, reactively or proactively. We know that the best companies will be proactive in creating new business, but many react to new business opportunities, which is a far less certain means of contributing to the bottom line. When it comes to creating international business, typically a UK SME will shy away from it, because they think it’s going to be too difficult. Sometimes they react to an international enquiry, and that starts the ball rolling on their international growth. Others will shy away from creating international business, because they don’t know where to start, or they think it’s too difficult, and there’s no support out there. Well, there’s lots of support out there, not just from my own company, Zên International. Here are details of a ‘not to be missed’ event in November. Yes, I know that our 65,000 plus Kent SMEs won’t all be beating down the door to get in, but those who do will be ahead of the competition, and will be taking proactive steps to create their own international growth:

It would be great to see you there. I will be supporting the IoD Kent stand, as Chair of IoD Kent’s International Business Forum.
So, do you really need to rely on economic data and forecasts? They have their place, of course, but why not make your mantra: “Create my own international growth”?
